Team Walker’s “Evening of Dreams” was a tremendous success on September 25, 2008 with Jim and Judy O’Brien receiving the “Pop” Curry Award. Former Pirate basketball player Luther Wright received a special achievement award and the supporters of Team Walker had a great time. Of course, the big winners were the youngsters of Team Walker with the event raising thousands of dollars to support the various programs. View the Photo Gallery
- Team Walker Thanksgiving Day Dinner

Jerry and members of the Team Walker staff gave away much appreciated turkeys and other Thanksgiving food items to the Jersey City community on November 25th. Thanks to all of the folks and groups that made this event such a success, including The Bergen Highlands Rotary Club and Our Chance International.

November/December 2008
Each year, from mid-November through the end of December, Team Walker appeals to friends of the organization to lend their support to the Team Walker Programs and efforts.
- The Team Walker Toy Drive
December 20, 2008
The Team Walker Toy Drive was conducted at the Seton Hall Basketball double-header at the Prudential Center in Newark on the 20th. Fans were encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts to the Arena where Team Walker representatives collected them. (Toys were also accepted at the Team Walker headquarters in Jersey City.)
