Team Walker students participated in 3D printing and chocolate bridge building workshops on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Public School 22 in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Volunteers from UBS Financial coached students in Team Walker’s After School Program through the 3D printing and chocolate bridge building workshops. Students created unique, 3D designs with 3Doodler pens. Also, students learned the fundamentals of physics through building bridges made from chocolate, Rice Krispies, Twizzlers, Starburst, frosting and many other sweets. The finished products were beautiful and delicious. Jersey Cares made these workshops a reality.
Team Walker is collaborating with Jersey Cares and UBS Financial to bring more science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) workshops to Team Walker’s Summer Program, which is due to launch on July 8, 2019, and run through August 9, 2019.
