Zolani is one of Team Walker’s fourth-graders in the After School Program. Read more about Zolani’s spotlight.

At Team Walker, Zolani enjoys the fun and inviting atmosphere that the Program provides. She also loves how the teachers always push the students to strive for and reach their goals. Zolani spoke about Mrs. Ray specifically as someone who has had a big impact on her life. Mrs. Ray has been Zolani’s teacher during last year’s Summer Program and the current After School Program.

Conveniently, one of Zolani’s favorite events was when she, her classmates and Mrs. Ray made slime. She enjoyed it because “it allows us to get messy and not be cooped up in the classroom all day.”

When she is not making slime, Zolani’s favorite subject to work on is math. Zolani’s dream job for her future is to be a math teacher one day.

She says that Team Walker has had a big impact on this idea and it has inspired her greatly.
