A four-time high school All American and collegiate standout, Jerry excelled as one of New Jersey’s hardest working basketball players. A product of Jersey City’s tough streets, Jerry led St. Anthony High School to four State Champions and was an integral part of the high school’s 1989 National Championship team. After graduating from St. Anthony’s, Jerry enrolled at Seton Hall University where he earned a BA degree in communications and led the Pirates to three consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament and the Big East Tournament Championship in 1992-1993. Jerry became known as one of the all-time favorite Pirates due to his tenacity and dedication. These qualities were the driving force behind a stellar collegiate career and have carried over to his work with Team Walker. When his professional basketball career came to an end, Jerry returned to his Jersey City community and founded Team Walker in 1996. Together with caring supporters and friends, Jerry, alongside his brother, Jasper, and Team Walker are proud to be making an important difference in the lives of thousands of children through academics and recreation over the past 20 years. Where he once was winning awards for his athletic talents, he now is doing the same for providing community social service. In 2011, Jerry was named a “New Jersey Hero”, and was recently honored by Seton Hall University as for his social service in Jersey City as Entrepreneur of the Year.
Director of Marketing and Communications
Gabriel (Gabe) has been a member of Team Walker since June 2018, serving as Director of Marketing and Communications. Gabe oversees the day-to-day marketing and communication functions of Team Walker, including the After School Program, Summer Program, all fundraising and special events, marketing projects, social and digital media presences, Team Walker interns and a group of volunteers at Seton Hall University. A New Jersey native, Gabe earned a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Journalism, a minor in psychology and certificates in Information Technologies and Data Visualization and Analysis from Seton Hall University. In addition to his public relations, marketing and writing skills in his professional toolbox, Gabe brings education, teaching and classroom facilitation to the table from previous experiences in the classroom and tutoring. Educating, helping and empowering today’s youth has always been Gabe’s passion. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, baking, playing piano, working on his car and gaming, as well as playing and traveling with his two black Labrador Retrievers, Rosie and Sophia. One can say Gabe and his family are Black Lab enthusiasts.

Chairman, Board of Trustees
Currently serving on the Board of Regents at Seton Hall University, Leo Zatta’s professional history includes 30 years in public accounting in where he was partner of a regional accounting firm specializing in forensics and valuations of closely held businesses. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer of an alternative investment fund. Leo earned a BS in Accounting, an MBA in Finance-cum laude, and an MS in Taxation-cum laude from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of New Jersey and Florida, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner. With continued strong ties to his alma mater, Leo has served as past president and member of the Board of Directors of the Seton Hall University Alumni Association, past chairman of the University Advisory Committee, and past president of the Stillman School of Business Alumni Association.
